The RPG Collection

One of the most prestigious art schools in the country, founded in 1903 and located outside Boston. The students here are the elite: the best at whatever they do, be it dance, drama, music, visual art, or fashion. The atmosphere is competitive: students are encouraged to do their best but also to beat others. And everyone is ambitious: they know there are only so many roles in a play, so many musicians in a band or orchestra. And there is only ever one lead. Threatened with the closing of the school, these students will do anything to keep it open. Friendship means nothing when your future is at stake. Weatherfield may be an arts school, but it is still a high school - and this is what high school is about. Competition, drama, gossip, it's all here, but added is that desire to be the best.

10.16.08 The skin is complete [obviously]! Now, all we need are some active, contributing members ^^ ~tris.

08.31.08 I'm now playing with codes. Apologies for any weirdness, and there's sure to be some ^^ ~ tris.

04.30.08 Thinking about new features on the site. If anyone has ideas feel free to PM an admin. On the subject, how would adding an MP3 player go down with everyone? I'd need suggestions for the playlist though! There's a thread for such suggestions on the announcements board, please think about contributing. -Ted

04.23.08 Just doing a little experimenting with the coding so apologies if in the next few days the layout is a bit squiffy... I'm not know for my coding skills. If anyone has any ideas for new sections of layouts or just general around-the-site-ness feel free to drop myself or Tris a note. -Ted

03.09.08 New members need to do dorm signups, face claim (if applicable) and plottage threads if they haven't yet. Links are below in quick links. If you have any questions or don't understand something, PM an admin (Tris=silentreflection Ted=corruzione) ~ tris.

02.27.08: I know it's a little late to be saying this but if all members could post in the activity check that would be great. And please, get advertising, invite your friends to join, blackmail a few people - WE NEED MEMBERS! - Ted

12.08.07: As you can see, we have a new skin. More appearance changes to come, possibly.

11.05.07: Aaand.... we're reopen for business! That's right, the new plot is released, the boards have been modified, and we are ready for members to start joining. So get out there and... join. Yeah.

"Ah..." Ted responded to Maddi, "Multi-talented..." a slight grin played about his expression - undeterred by her lack of willing to take on the mouse. He suppressed a smile as he considered the girl up on the stage - throwing herself around in imitation of one of those "rock chicks" with their synchronized dancers in matching plastic trousers... although he suppposed that she may simply play classical guitar and sing those choral songs...

He looked around to Tris again, pondering the question for a moment, "I don' think so..." he paused, giving the question a further second of thought, "Besides... how'd you reckon we'd get past their security desk? Think either the freshers downstairs or the guys in Smith're our best bets... buuut I dunno." He shrugged, refolding his arms across his chest, retiring a little back into himself. He wondered whether it was really the right thing to do, whether it would give him any satisfaction inflicting such things upon others, whether he could really see things through to completion.

sorry for the awol-ness... and sucky-ness of the post... i'm kinda floundering at the moment.

Tris sighed as Ted reminded him of the security desk. Snobs. "Yeah, I totally forgot about that desk. Hm, that'd be tough. Well, I guess I feel a bit merciful, since I know what it's like to be in Smith, so what do you say about the freshers, then?" There was always a practical side to tormenting freshmen: you could not get in trouble for it, really. They were usually too scared to complain. He remembered being a freshman and finding the upperclassmen very intimidating, although as soon as his freshman year was over he had completely transformed into the intimidating upperclassman.

Tris's gray-green eyes fell on Maddi again and he decided to do the courteous thing. "Wanna come?" For good measure, he grinned after saying it, figuring her answer would probably be know - girls never seemed to get the same entertainment out of pranks as guys, although he could never see why. Then again, Maddi could be a bit of a tomboy sometimes, always hanging out with guys and playing video games, so she might find it entertaining. Who didn't love to torment freshmen, anyway? Tris sighed and leaned back against the wall, balancing the box, while waiting for an answer. He thought he almost sensed a hint of reluctance in Ted, but decided that it couldn't be. And if it was, well, Tris would still leave the mouse at someone's door.

"Oh course." Maddi said, an evil glint in her eye. She was a natural prankster, always doing something fun to the freshmen. She never passed up an oppertunity to mess with some kids. "And it's not that hard to get things past the front desk. Once last year I think, my friend smuggled up some pot and someone else spiked the punch, which someone had already done. All you have to do it put it into a backpack that has a bunch of books in it. Or stick it into your case." she said gesturing to her guitar case. "I've done it a bunch of time for..." she trailed off. "Diferent things." she said after a moments slience.

Ted coughed hard into his hand, turning away from the pair of music students and bracing himself against the wall for a moment until he was sufficiently recovered. He breathed slowly in and out before returning to the conversation, eyes resting upon the box and folder in Tris's hands. Inner-dilemma was playing havoc with him - desperately he wanted to see the reactions of the freshers, to experience the rush of adrenaline, to re-live it and laugh... but another part of him was severely reserved over it all, he didn't want the trouble, couldn't face the tears, dreaded the repercussions...

And now Maddi was in too, he supposed it wouldn't be such a big deal if he backed out - Tris would still have someone to enjoy himself with, and Ted would reassure him that there was always next time... No. he inwardly asserted himself, You'll do this and you'll da.mn well enjoy it... He shifted his glance between the two eager faces, the wrong words threatening to issue from his mouth.

"Well what're we waiting for?" he almost blurted, stepping away - without awaiting an answer to his rhetorical question - towards the back stairs (which served the purpose of a fire escape rather than regular use stair well). He called back, though maintained a suitable level of volume as to not give the game away, "Those freshers won't scare themselves..!"

"Well, the issue isn't getting stuff in, it's getting yourself in," Tris remarked to Maddi as Ted was caught in another coughing fit. He paused, a question on the tip of his tongue, then changed his mind. "I think I won't ask what you were trying to get in." A smirk played at the corners of his mouth. His eyes flicked back to Ted, who was leaning slightly contemplatively against the wall. There was a hint of hesitation on his face for a moment, but it vanished and was replaced by a sort of resolve as Ted spoke.

"Erm, you sure you want to go that way, Ted?" Tris asked, a faintly bemused expression on his face as he watched the older student walking toward the fire escape. "Secrecy is great, but I'm not sure setting off all the fire alarms is the best idea..." He wondered faintly if Ted had been having 2nd thoughts, and if his abrupt outburst had been his attempted at squashing those thoughts. Tris figured he'd do much the same. Torn between thinking Ted was a bit of a wimp and admiring his determination, Tris turned his eyes toward Maggie to see her response - and if she had picked up anything at all.
