The RPG Collection

One of the most prestigious art schools in the country, founded in 1903 and located outside Boston. The students here are the elite: the best at whatever they do, be it dance, drama, music, visual art, or fashion. The atmosphere is competitive: students are encouraged to do their best but also to beat others. And everyone is ambitious: they know there are only so many roles in a play, so many musicians in a band or orchestra. And there is only ever one lead. Threatened with the closing of the school, these students will do anything to keep it open. Friendship means nothing when your future is at stake. Weatherfield may be an arts school, but it is still a high school - and this is what high school is about. Competition, drama, gossip, it's all here, but added is that desire to be the best.

Andy stood, holding the sheet music to her chest, watching the scene unfold before her. The girl - Erin was it?- had become some emotional wreck in the space of a few seconds, and Vincent was just standing there looking rather smug. Andybriefly wondered what had brought about this conflict, for it apparently was an old one. She considered for a moment to do something to comfort the poor girl but then decided against it. She was just the new girl; she didn’t have any responsibility to look out for someone just yet. Besides; she loved drama. Who wanted to watch tv when you had highschool?

So standing there in the middle of the hallway, Andy waited, though it may seem cruel to say so, eagerly for Vince’s reply.

[OOC: Yes, I'm back. I have been a very bad girl and deserve to be locked in a corner and thrashed...though I wish you wouldn't :'( I haven't been on for what? a month? eep. :-X so yeah, I'm back begging for forgiveness that I dont deserve.
Well, now that we're done with the mercy plea, I also have to say sorry for the terrrible post after all that.]

He held his hands up by either side of his head, all innocence and morality playing across his face before a snide and malicious grin spread across his face. He shuffled his weight from foot to foot, each movement a threat at getting closer again but never actually moving from his spot. He too had apparently forgotten the presence of the third student for the time being.

Then he stopped moving, shoving his hands into his pockets and hooking his thumbs through the belt loops, a pointed look again levelled at the emotional Sophomore before him, 'Oh come on... don't cry," he forced a pout in accommpaniment to his utterly condescending tone, before a triumphant demenour returned, "And as I recall that wasn't exactly how you felt before..."

He raised his eyebrows at her with a wink, before wheeling on heel to face Andy. "Drama, eh?"

Erin was a wreck - she admitted that. She had always been a bit of a wreck, governed too much by her emotions, and so easily open to depression - so sensitive. She tried to be calm and mature - and most of the time, she succeeded - but it didn't take much to push her over the edge, and Vince was one person who did so effortlessly. One would have thought she would be over him by now. Erin wished she was over him, but she couldn't bring herself to be so. She took a few deep breaths, trying to calm herself - noting how the other girl watched. At first Andy just looked confused but her expression turned into one of...interest? She couldn't fault the other girl for curiosity, but Erin kept getting the sinking feeling that Andy might be enjoying this. That would make her angry.

Vince's response brought forth a sound almost like a snarl. "What is your problem?" she asked, crying again. Deciding she'd rather not deal with his snubs - what more could she expect? - she walked away purposefully, in the direction she had originally been traveling, out of Weatherfield, her thoughts a whirling mess.

Her walk slowed before she reached the end of the hall, however. She was curious how the other girl would react, but didn't know how she would be able to find out. She paused, pretending to be interested in a sign posted on someone's door, and listened for what was going on behind her.

[hmm...it seems like time for Erin to make an exit, yet I don't really want her to leave yet...]

“Drama, eh?”

The boy’s mocking tone brought Andy’s attention back solely on him. She narrowed her eyes and put on her best death glare. She knew it wouldn’t have any effect on the Vince guy, but it would get her point across. All her former amusement at the scenario was gone. The way he just, toyed around with the fragile girl’s feelings, it just; well, it just pissed her off.

She heard Erin’s –yes that was her name- cry of outrage as the girl spun and headed back down the hallway. Andy watched her go for a moment, then stuck out her chin and looked Vince in the eye, her glare defiant.

“You’re a bully.” She said matter-of-factly, before her face cracked into a huge grin. In the corner of her eye she saw Erin hesitating to leave. Still grinning, she took one more look at Vince and then yelled down the corridor before bolting into her room.
“Erin, wait up!” She dropped her papers on the desk and slammed the window shut. Dashing out into the hall, she banged the door closed behind her and ran up to the girl, quickly closing the distance between them.

“Where ya headed?

"Doesn't look like I'm the one with the problem here..." His voice dropped to grave tones, low and dark, the truth that he saw resonating in his words but still intended for malicious purposes, "I'm not the one who looks at the person they're supposed to hate ever hopeful that they might have me back again..." It seemed like he might be talking to himself rather than Erin, who was probably verging on being too far away to here the quiet response. He didn't particularlycare if she had or not - he spoke the way he did for himself to hear, not others per se.

In response to Andy's glare he blew her a kiss, throwing a smile across his face - the smile that had gotten Erin into this situation in the first place - as he levelled his gaze at her, waiting for the inevitable comment on his manners. "You're a bully." He feined pain, holding a hand to his heart as if stabbed, exhaling a sharp breath before dropping the facade entirely and folding his arms across his chest, only a little bemused at Andy's grin - really, who could resist his dubious-of-morals charisma?

Watching Andy tail after the other Sophomore, he stayed put, leaning against the doorframe casually, winking at the couple of spectators who'd wandered down the hall the eavesdrop, their faces - disappointed at missing the action - perking up as they moved in to talk to the senior whose attention was really only half on them.

ooc: i'll take a back seat for a few posts, jump back in in a couple rounds. *ding ding*

Erin, luckily, did not hear Vince's words. She did, however, hear Andy's pointed "You're a bully." And smiled - slightly - through her tears. At Andy's call, she stopped, waiting for the other girl.

"I'm going to the dance building, just to check stuff out," she responded to the girl's question. "Do you want to come?" It was a bit strange inviting a music major, but Erin felt that she might as well be friendly. For all that she seemed to find drama entertaining, she was a nice enough person. Erin didn't find it entertaining because it involved her, but she did wonder how she would feel if the roles were reversed.

Her green eyes, however, were not on Andy as she twirled a strand of brownish-blonde hair around her finger. They had floated back over to Vince, watching him listen to two other students. She almost laughed contemptuously. She was sure he wasn't listening at all - he never did. He was very different from other figures in her life, yet she was more drawn to him than any other. She thought about her friends and family, but none of them seemed to captivate her the way he did, and she didn't like it. She felt dependent and therefore worthless...

Erin shook her head, turning her attention back to Andy and awaiting the other girl's response. The best thing she could do right now would be to walk away as quickly as she could. Being back in the familiar surroundings of the dance building would be good for her.

I’m going to the dance building, just to check it out,” came the girl’s reply, “Do you want to come?”
“Sure thing!” Andy hooked her arm around Erin’s like they were old friends and spun her around back to the direction the girl had been headed, and then marched off down the hall with her. The incident that had happened only moments ago was already out of her mind; not gone, but floating around somewhere, stored away for later use.
“So, anyway, I was wondering if you knew anything about my roomie. Kara Brownie, was it? Or Kira Browlee?” She squinted up her face, looking rather comical as she tried to come up with the right name. “ Kyra Browla! No, that’s not right….hmm.” She trailed off lost in thought, her brow furrowed. “You know who I’m talking about right?” She asked, turning her head to face Erin.

Erin smiled a little at Andy's ready agreement. She seemed like a very friendly person, someone whom it wouldn't hurt to have around. Hopefully she wasn't judgmental or prying or fake - those were the worst sorts. She walked easily next to Andy, their arms loosely linked.

“So, anyway, I was wondering if you knew anything about my roomie. Kara Brownie, was it? Or Kira Browlee?”

Erin smiled a little at Andy's fumbling. It didn't take her long to figure out that Andy was referring to Kiara. Although Kiara Brownlee was an art major, she had lived next door to Erin last year and the two had become good friends. Erin was pleased to learn that they were int he same hall again.

"You mean Kiara Brownlee, right? She's really sweet - she's an art major. She takes some time to get used to, though." Erin smiled faintly as she recalled her first meeting with the hyper, immature girl who was a grade above her. "She's a junior, but you probably won't believe it when you first meet her. She looks like she's in junior high and acts like she's in elementary school. But she's a really good artist, and incredibly nice." Erin paused, allowing her speech to sink in a little, thinking about the friends she had made at Weatherfield. Kiara was the person she went to when she needed cheering up, for the girl's energy was infectious. "What else do you want to know?"
